Transanal suture mucopaxy is a tissue-preserving procedure used for selected prolapsing internal hemorrhoids. Carefully placed sutures lift and secure the loose hemorrhoidal tissue inside the anal canal, helping control prolapse and its associated bleeding without removing large areas of tissue.
